How to cancel an iD Mobile contract
If you want to cancel an iD Mobile contract, the right method depends on whether you are switching to another network and whether you want to keep your phone number. iD Mobile is an MVNO that runs on the Three network, so most customers leave by porting out with a PAC code rather than calling to cancel line by line.
For most people, iD Mobile contract cancellation is handled through Ofcom's text-to-switch process. That means texting for a PAC or STAC, giving the code to your new provider, and letting the port close your old plan automatically. If you are not joining another network, you cancel directly through iD Mobile and must give 30 days' notice.
Cancel iD Mobile and keep your number
The most common reason to cancel iD Mobile contract terms early is to switch while keeping the same number. To do that, you need a PAC (Porting Authorisation Code).
Request a PAC from iD Mobile:
- From your iD Mobile phone, text PAC and your date of birth in DDMMYY format to 65075 (for example, if you were born on 3 March 1990, text
PAC 030390). - Alternatively, open the iD Mobile app, go to your plan settings, and request a PAC from there.
- You can also call 7777 from your iD Mobile handset, or 0333 003 7777 from any other phone.
iD Mobile should reply with a nine-character PAC. The code is valid for 30 days. If it expires, request a new one.
Important: do not cancel your iD Mobile plan manually before your number has ported. If you end the service first, you can lose your number permanently. Once your new network uses the PAC, your iD Mobile account closes automatically when the transfer completes — usually within one working day, though it can take up to 48 hours.
When you sign up with your new provider, give them the PAC during checkout. They arrange the switch date and handle the rest.

How to cancel iD Mobile without keeping your number
If you do not need your current number, request a STAC (Service Termination Authorisation Code) instead.
Text STAC to 75075 from your iD Mobile SIM. You can also request a STAC through the iD Mobile app. Give the STAC to your new network when you join, and they will terminate your iD Mobile service as part of the switch.
A STAC is also valid for 30 days.
Cancel contract iD Mobile without switching networks
Not everyone leaving iD Mobile is joining another provider straight away. If you want to cancel contract iD Mobile and end service without porting, you must contact iD Mobile directly and give 30 days' notice.
Online:
- Log in at my.idmobile.co.uk or through the iD Mobile app.
- Go to Plan and scroll to Leave iD.
- Review the leaving cost shown under Leaving cost.
- Select Cancel my iD Plan to set your disconnection date.

Include your full name, billing address and postcode, your iD Mobile number, and the name of the bank your Direct Debit is with so iD can locate your account.

iD Mobile contract cancellation fees and early exit charges
Whether you pay to leave depends on your plan type and how far through your minimum term you are.
Check your leaving costs before you commit:
- Text INFO to 85075 from your iD Mobile phone, or
- Log in to the app or my.idmobile.co.uk and go to Plan → Leave iD → Leaving cost.
Rolling one-month plans: if you are outside any minimum term, you can typically leave without an early termination fee once notice is served or your PAC/STAC port completes.
12-month and 24-month plans: if you cancel or port before the minimum term ends, iD Mobile may charge an early exit fee covering the remaining months of your agreement, plus any outstanding balance on your final bill.
Handset contracts: if your iD Mobile plan includes a phone bought on contract, leaving early may involve additional handset charges on top of any airtime exit fee. Check the leaving cost figure in your account before you switch.

What happens after you cancel iD Mobile
Once your PAC or STAC switch completes, iD Mobile closes your account and sends a final bill for any usage or charges up to the port date. Your Direct Debit may take a final payment after the switch; check your closing statement.
If you gave 30 days' notice without porting, service stays active until the date you selected, then stops.
Roaming and add-ons end when your plan closes. Download any bills or usage records you need before your account shuts.
If you change your mind after giving a PAC to a new network, contact that new provider immediately. Most need at least 24 hours' notice before the port goes through. iD Mobile cannot stop a switch once the new network has started processing it.
