IPVanish passes fresh no-log audit with flying colours

Independent check by Schellman backs the provider’s claims that it keeps nothing on your browsing or connections.

Third audit in a row

IPVanish has just published the results of its latest independent no-log audit, carried out by Schellman Compliance. The review, finished on 25 September 2026, checked server configs, ran test traffic and spoke to engineering teams. It found the service stores no internet traffic, no DNS queries, no session times and no original IP addresses.

The same policy applies to every server and every plan. Real-time abuse checks run in memory only and are never written to disk.

What the auditors actually saw

Schellman had full access to systems and processes. They confirmed that any change to logging settings needs dual approval and strict oversight. The report also covers previous audits from April 2025 and April 2022, showing a consistent track record.

Users can download the full 2026 report from their IPVanish account under Security Reports. Media requests go to pr@ipvanish.com.

“During the assessment, it was validated that no logs were retained by IPVanish and that a standardized change release process was in place.”

Why this matters for UK users

A no-log guarantee only helps if it is independently checked. This latest pass gives extra reassurance that your data stays private when you connect on public Wi-Fi or travel abroad. We already looked at simple privacy habits in our Cybersecurity Awareness Month piece last month.
