PIA Expands Its Reach
Private Internet Access has added 15 server locations, taking the total to 170 across 104 countries and territories. The new spots cover the Cayman Islands, Cuba, Jamaica, Belarus, Jersey, Bhutan, Brunei, Guam, Laos, Myanmar, Pakistan, Uzbekistan and Thailand, plus city servers in Tottenham and Naples. Existing users see them appear automatically in the apps with no extra steps required.
Virtual Locations and Real-World Limits
Some of the additions are virtual servers, which hand out a local IP address even when the hardware sits elsewhere. PIA marks these clearly in the apps so you can decide whether the trade-off suits your needs. All servers, physical or virtual, run on the provider’s 10-Gbps network with RAM-only infrastructure and its court-tested no-logs policy.
Who Benefits Most
The move targets regions where demand is high but options have been limited, such as the Caribbean, Central Asia and Southeast Asia. Users in those areas should see lower latency and easier access to local services, while UK subscribers gain a Tottenham option that may help with regional streaming or reduced lag.
