The provider has followed last month’s batch with another ten spots, pushing the total to 179 locations in 112 countries and territories.

Another quick round of growth

Two weeks after adding 15 new server locations, PIA has switched on ten more across the Americas, the Middle East & Africa and Asia Pacific. The move brings eight new countries and territories into the network plus two extra city options in the US and Australia. Overall the service now runs 179 locations in 112 countries and territories.

Where the new servers sit

  • Americas: Bermuda, Brooklyn (New York), Dominican Republic, Honduras, Puerto Rico, Trinidad and Tobago
  • Middle East & Africa: Ghana, Kenya, Lebanon
  • Asia Pacific: Woolloomooloo (Sydney)

Some of the new points are virtual servers, which hand out an IP address for the chosen country while traffic actually routes through a physical server nearby. All of them run on the same 10-Gbps hardware, RAM-only setup and audited no-logs infrastructure already used across the rest of the network.

What this means for users

PIA added 15 new locations last month, and this latest batch continues the focus on regions users have been requesting. The extra choices give more options for local IP addresses and can help during busy periods, though real-world speeds still depend on your location, ISP and the site you’re reaching.

How to connect

No app update is needed. Open the PIA app, head to the VPN Server list, search for the new location and tap to connect. You can favourite any spot by tapping the heart icon so it stays easy to find.
