More choice for UK streamers
Private Internet Access has quietly rolled out 22 new streaming-optimised server locations, pushing the total from 13 to 35. The extra spots cover Europe, the Americas, Asia-Pacific, Africa and the Middle East, so whether you’re chasing the latest Netflix drop or a regional sports feed, there’s now a dedicated option closer to home.
Nothing needs doing on your end. The new locations pop up automatically in the app — just search “streaming” in the location list and you’re good to go.
The new locations at a glance
- Americas: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico
- Europe: Austria, Belgium, France, Hungary, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland
- Asia-Pacific: New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan
- Middle East, Africa & Central Asia: Israel, South Africa
These join the existing 13, giving you a much wider net without any extra cost or settings tweaks.
Why it matters for viewers
Standard VPN servers can sometimes unblock content, but the streaming-optimised ones are actively monitored and tested against major platforms. That means fewer buffering headaches and more reliable access when you’re abroad or dodging geo-blocks.

PIA says it’ll keep expanding the list, so expect even more options in the months ahead.
