Lower upfront costs with the grant boost
The recent increase to the Boiler Upgrade Scheme means eligible households can now get an EDF heat pump from as little as £4,100 after the grant. We're always keen to see more support for switching to low-carbon options, especially as colder months approach.
What the package covers
The free servicing and warranty applies whichever heat pump brand you choose through EDF. It gives extra peace of mind and cuts ongoing costs — handy when you're already investing in your home's heating.
Real customer results
One EDF customer, Steve from Somerset, switched from oil and added solar panels. He said: “Our home was previously heated by oil, so we wanted a more efficient and predictable energy solution. I estimate I’m now saving around £600 per month when accounting for avoided oil purchases, no longer needing my log burner, and factoring in the export from solar generation offsetting against the cost of running our heat pump. This includes powering two EVs too!”

Efficiency and savings potential
Air source heat pumps are typically 300-400% more efficient than a gas boiler. According to the Energy Saving Trust, switching from an A-rated gas boiler in an average three-bed semi can cut your carbon footprint by around 13.4%. Some EDF customers on their Heat Pump Tracker Tariff could save about £146 a year compared with the price cap.
