We've been watching Octopus Energy push the boundaries on electric transport for a while, and their latest move takes things literally sky-high.
Easy charging for electric planes
Through a new partnership, Octopus Electroverse is linking up with AeroVolt, the UK's first aircraft charging network. Pilots of small electric planes can now use the same simple 'one card, one app' system that EV drivers already love – no juggling multiple chargers or apps.
AeroVolt has chargers at seven UK airfields right now, with more coming soon. The setup lets pilots charge at airside points just like they would an electric car.

Why it matters for greener travel
Electric planes (mostly small two-seaters doing short hops) already show lower climate impact than fossil-fuel versions. This kind of joined-up charging could help more pilots and operators switch over.
