Free downloads for new and existing owners
Samsung and Netflix are giving Galaxy Z Fold8, Z Fold8 Ultra and Z Flip8 owners five free themes, wallpapers and icons drawn from the Korean series The East Palace. The pack includes the popular character Kkeomeoksari and the East Palace pond setting. Downloads run through the Galaxy Store until 10 September and work on both new and older Galaxy handsets.
Built for Netflix viewing
The Z Fold8 range adjusts its screen ratio from 10:9 to 4:3 so full-screen Netflix shows fill more of the display and cut down on letterboxing. AI tools such as Now Brief pull in viewing suggestions based on your calendar and habits, while Samsung Finder lets you search titles without opening the app first.
The series behind the themes
The East Palace launched on 17 July and has already sat at number two on Netflix’s global non-English Top 10 for two weeks, reaching the top ten in 69 countries. It follows a ghost-seeing investigator and a court lady solving a palace curse.
