A fresh K-pop audition format
Netflix has confirmed a new reality series called We Go High. The show follows students at Korean arts high schools as they compete to join a girl group. It focuses on their training, rivalries and group chemistry rather than polished performances.
The project is aimed at broadening K-pop's international audience by letting global viewers help choose the final line-up.
Who can take part
Applications are open to first- and second-year students already at arts or entertainment-focused high schools, plus those due to start such programmes in 2027. Full details sit on Netflix Korea's social channels.
Top producers Park Jin-kyung and Lee Jae-seok from Monsterahaus are running the series.
Support after debut
Netflix has signed an MOU with SM C&C to help the eventual group with activities and growth beyond their first release.
