Netflix has shared an early glimpse of its next Swedish original, a festive rom-com called The Christmas Switch. The film follows sisters Mathilda and Freddie, whose opposite lifestyles collide when an unexpected twist makes them swap places in the run-up to Christmas.
What the story is about
Mathilda stays rooted in her small village while Freddie thrives on city hustle. As each steps into the other's shoes they confront their choices and stumble into romance they did not see coming. The project is the feature directorial debut of Adam Pålsson and draws from Eleonor Sager's popular audiobook Christmas in St. Anna.
Cast and creative team
Real-life sisters Felice Jankell and Happy Jankell take the lead roles. They are joined by Christian Fandango, Celie Sparre and Anastasious Soulis. Christin Magdu and Mikael Syrén wrote the screenplay, with Sager producing through Breakable Films AB.
