Home Swap Turns Dark
Netflix has released the first trailer for its new Swedish psychological thriller A Couple of Lies. The story follows two couples who swap homes for a few weeks: Helene and Carl leave their Stockholm archipelago house for a Sicilian villa belonging to Scarlett and Adam. What begins as a dream escape unravels as hidden secrets and betrayals surface, leaving each pair unsure who they can trust.
The six-part series is adapted from the best-selling novel by Stefan Ahnhem. Director Kasper Barfoed oversees a cast that includes Emma Appleton, Fares Fares, Frida Gustavsson and Jakob Oftebro.
October 30 Premiere
A Couple of Lies lands on Netflix on 30 October. It joins several other new titles dropping the same day, including a Korean horror series we covered earlier this week. Viewers can expect the usual mix of surveillance footage, shifting loyalties and slow-burn tension typical of Ahnhem’s crime stories.
Where to Watch
The show will be available to all Netflix subscribers across the UK with no extra cost or add-on required. For the latest streaming options and comparisons, check our tv hub. If you already have a plan, the new series simply appears in the catalogue on launch day—no action needed beyond hitting play.
