A Four-Part Drama Lands on 18 November
Netflix has confirmed that Kasper Bajon’s new series ‘The Law of Beasts’ will premiere worldwide on 18 November. The four-episode drama follows two friends whose bond breaks during a high-stakes 1988 investigation and is tested again when the convicted man faces release 25 years later.
Friendship, Justice and an Impossible Choice
In 1988, Major Anna Bersz leads the hunt for a child murderer while her friend, psychiatrist Agnieszka Grabska, assesses the suspect’s sanity. Time pressure and rigid rules push the pair into a decision that ends their friendship. By 2014 the same man is due for release, forcing both women to revisit the case and weigh public safety against legal principles.
The story is inspired by the real events that led to Poland’s “Beast Law”. Director and co-writer Kasper Bajon says: “While inspired by true events, at its heart this is a story about people who, in serving the state and its institutions, are forced to make impossible choices. It explores what happens when the law, our sense of justice and the need to keep society safe cannot be reconciled.”
