The story follows a daughter's fight to protect her father after a child's disappearance revives old suspicions in the quiet district of Chiang Khan. Dementia and the local legend of Phii Pong collide, leaving everyone unsure who or what to trust.
Blurring Lines Between Belief and Reality
Director Chayan Laoyodtrakool layers mystery, crime and family drama so viewers cannot easily separate superstition, illness and buried secrets. The series asks how far a family will go when fear takes hold and the person they love becomes someone they no longer recognise.
Cast Brings Personal Stakes
Natapohn Phornprapha, who plays the determined daughter Wan, said: "For me, it’s about 'deception.' It makes the audience question what kind of series they are actually watching — is it a mystery, an investigative thriller, or a profound family drama? But there’s something hidden within that ultimately makes you realize why the story had to be told this way." Co-stars Jespipat Tilapornputt and August Vachiravit Paisarnkulwong also describe intensive preparation with police officers and deep character workshops.
