Netflix Flags Four UK ISPs Among Global Streaming Leaders

Spain and the US top the latest ISP Speed Index, but the UK still earns a solid showing for prime-time Netflix performance.

UK broadband earns four spots on Netflix list

Netflix has published its ISP Speed Index for January to June 2026, naming the providers that delivered the strongest prime-time streaming. The UK placed four services on the global list of 58 ISPs from 21 countries. Spain and the US each put eight providers on the ranking, while Singapore and Canada tied with six apiece. Hong Kong matched the UK with four.

The highest monthly average speed recorded across the period reached 3.2 Mbps. Netflix notes the index measures only its own service during peak hours, not overall network performance.

What the figures actually show

Higher scores on the index point to quicker start times, steadier picture quality and fewer interruptions when watching Netflix. The report continues a pattern seen in 2025, with Hong Kong, Singapore, Spain, South Korea and the UK all featuring strongly. Results for July will appear on 10 August.

For households, the data offers one more way to judge whether an ISP is delivering reliable streaming when it matters most. It does not replace wider checks on download speeds or latency for other uses.

How to test your connection

Netflix points users to its free tool at FAST.com or the companion mobile apps to see current download performance on any browser. We cover the latest broadband options and deals at Broadband if you want to compare providers that appear in these rankings.

The index reminds us that not every connection handles peak-time video the same way, so checking real-world Netflix performance can help when choosing or switching packages.
