Fresh seasons confirmed
Netflix has ordered Seasons 2 and 3 of its Korean medical series The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call. Season 1 topped charts in 18 countries and reached the Top 10 in 63 markets last year, so the streamer is doubling down on the format.
Cast and creative team stay put
Ju Ji-hoon reprises his role as the no-nonsense surgeon Baek Kang-hyuk. Choo Young-woo returns as his protégé Yang Jae-won, while Yoon Kyung-ho, Jeong Jae-kwang and newcomer Jeong Ye-in also continue. Director and writer Lee Do-yun is back behind the camera, promising tighter teamwork and bigger crises as the team tries to build a stronger trauma system at Hankuk National University Hospital.
What it means for UK viewers
The new episodes will land exclusively on Netflix once filming wraps. If you already subscribe, there is nothing extra to do. If you are still deciding on a streaming plan, our TV comparison page shows current deals from the main UK providers and how their on-demand libraries stack up.
The show is based on the Webtoon Trauma Center: Golden Hour and mixes fast-paced surgery with hospital politics. Production is handled by Studio N and Mays Entertainment. No UK air date has been announced yet, but the first season’s global performance suggests it will arrive with English subtitles and dubbing options when ready.
