A fresh festival hit lands on the streamer
We can now watch Possible Love on Netflix from 6 November after its festival run. The story tracks two married couples — one dealing with a layoff, the other a documentary filmmaker and her spouse — as they cross paths while filming and confront hidden desires.
Trailer hints at tension and connection
The final trailer shows Mi-ok singing with a sorrowful smile while thinking of her husband Ho-seok and the years since his job loss. Scenes of her breaking down are watched by Ye-ji, and the two women share warm moments that contrast with Mi-ok’s conflicted looks at Ye-ji and her husband. A suggested group vacation adds further layers.
Critics hail the director’s return
Early reactions have been strong. “A heart-stopping stunner from Lee Chang-dong. Grade: A” (David Ehrlich, IndieWire); “One for the ages” (Bilge Ebiri, New York Magazine); and “A shimmering, sonorous work from one of our greatest living directors” (Jessica Kiang, Variety) are among the notices. The film is already being called a standout by several outlets.
