All your streaming in one place
Vodafone TV pulls live channels, on-demand shows, Netflix, HBO Max, cloud gaming and thousands of Google Play apps into a single interface. The small Android TV set-top box supports 4K, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos on supported content, while AI search and personalised recommendations aim to cut down the usual app-hopping. Freely is built in, giving access to more than 70 live channels from the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 without an aerial.
Watch at home or on the move
A companion app lets viewers start a programme on the big screen and continue on their phone, keeping the same profiles, recommendations and favourites. Customers on compatible SuperMobile plans can also use 5G+ FastTrack for up to 4x faster speeds in busy areas, which Vodafone says helps with uninterrupted streaming outside the home.
Who gets it and when
The service launches in October and is open to new and existing Vodafone customers who already have home broadband, 5G Broadband or a mobile plan. It is the only UK mobile network operator currently bundling TV with both mobile and mobile broadband. Parental controls come via a master PIN.
Rob Winterschladen, Consumer Director, VodafoneThree said: “Vodafone TV is so much more than TV, it’s a family entertainment platform that brings together live TV, On Demand, streaming, gaming, music and all the apps on the Google Play Store. The entertainment experience is powered by our small yet mighty set top box with 4K, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.
We’ve made it simple to find and discover content through smart AI voice search and personalised recommendations linked to a user’s profile. And with our companion app, the experience is with you wherever you go. With brilliant content partnerships, including HBO Max, Netflix and Freely built-in – that’s how entertainment should be done.”
